CHICAGO, IL—May 3, 2024—ECG Management Consultants is proud to announce that Keith Graff, a principal in the firm’s Academic Healthcare Division, has been named president of the board for CommunityHealth, a free health center in Chicago. His appointment to president, which was made official on May 2, 2024, caps a 10-year tenure as a board member at the volunteer-based health center.
CommunityHealth provides free primary and specialty care, medications, lab testing, mental health care, and other health services to some 3,900 uninsured and underinsured adults in Chicago. The clinic has served the Chicago area for more than 30 years and is one of the largest free health centers in the US.
“I’m deeply honored to be named president of the CommunityHealth board,” Keith said of his appointment. “I’ve seen firsthand how dedicated this organization is to caring for people in our city, especially during the pandemic and our current efforts with new arrivals. Everyone has a right to healthcare.”
Keith is passionate about health equity, and in the decade he’s been involved with CommunityHealth, he’s has seen the organization serve not only as an essential healthcare resource for low-income adults, but as a leader and advocate for the community.
The health center remained open through much of the pandemic and played a core role in coordinating Chicago’s vaccination program. It’s established microsites throughout Chicagoland, bringing providers closer to patients who are challenged to make it into the city. Keith has watched CommunityHealth drive state healthcare policy, partner with all manner of community-based organizations, and find creative ways to improve patient access.
“With the support of our many volunteers and donors, we are able to be very nimble and innovative, which allows us to quickly provide care to those most in need,” Keith said.
